Steve Santucci Hitting/Pitching/Fielding

Steve is the founder of the Union Square Sports Hub. His athletic career speaks for itself, having won state championships at every level of play from Little League,Babe Ruth,Senior Babe Ruth and High School. Steve was 20-1 as a pitcher for Leominster High School in two years and earned a scholarship to Northeastern University. After his freshman year he transferred to Assumption College to play outfield as well. Steve was a 1993 All American at Assumption College and the 1993 NE 10 player of the year. Steve was chosen to the All New England Team 1991,1992 and 1993 seasons. Steve was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 19th round of the 1993 Amateur Draft as an outfielder. Steve's professional career spanded several seasons with the organization which included the 1994 NY Penn League Championship. Steve has over fifteen years of instructional experience and exemplifies what "The Hub" is all about.

Tommy Kamataris Hitting/Pitching/Fielding

The Hub's senior instructor and affectionately known around the facility as "Coach K" played three years of varsity baseball at Leominster High School. Tommy graduated in 1994 and went onto play for Bridgewater State College reaching the Division Three College World Series in 1997. Tommy has been the baseball clinic director from 2005 to present at the Home Run Club, House of Champions and now the Union Square Sports Hub. Tom currently teaches Physical Education at Acton Boxborough Regional High School and has over ten years of teaching experience. Coach K works extremely well with younger players on learning and improving the basic fundamentals of hitting, pitching and fielding. Coach K is able to make the game fun and exciting while getting the most out of his players and improving their ability along with their confidence in the game of baseball. Chris Santucci Hitting/Fielding/Pitching

Coach Santucci comes to USSH from a successful and decorated baseball family, playing days, and softball career. As a 2 year College starter in baseball, Chris led his team in hitting and all offensive categories hitting a combined batting average of .396 with 7 Home-runs in 2 full seasons. After college Chris's love for the game brought him to become an M.B.U.A. Umpire in Central MA calling High School, Legion, and Babe Ruth games for several years. Softball, would be where Coach Santucci would experience some of his proudest sports accomplishments playing professionally for a Men's Major Softball organization where he played exclusively for some of the top sports brands in the game...(Team TPS / Louisville Slugger, Worth and Easton). Chris competed professionally for over 12 years at this level traveling all over the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico where he earned multiple awards in over 40 national tournaments with selections to All Tournament Teams, as well as earning MVP honors. Chris was recognized for his career accomplishments and dedication to the game recently as he was selected for induction to the New England U.S.S.S.A. Softball Hall of Fame as a player. An accomplishment he is very humbled to have received. After retiring from the professional circuit, Coach took his passion for both baseball and softball in a new direction, coaching and the development of young players. With almost 14 years in coaching and player development, coach has led tournament and travel baseball teams coaching age groups ranging from 12U to 14U and has been giving instruction and lessons for over 9 years . Coach Santucci is very much looking forward too continuing his coaching and instruction at USSH and sharing his passion for the game with younger players.

John comes to us with over 25 years of baseball experience. He is a product of Leominster High School and the University of Connecticut with the following credentials:

Allie Hardy Softball Pitching

My name is Allie Hardy and I was a four year varsity starting pitcher for Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Leominster High School. I have taught pitching fundamentals and techniques to pitchers of all ages and abilities for 7 years. Currently, I coach at AtBats Training Center in Boxborough, Massachusetts and am the JV and pitching coach for Wachusett Regional High School. Steve is a 1997 graduate of Quaboag Regional High School. After a solid High School career, Steve went onto play at Brown University starting at catcher all four years. Merry MacDonald Softball Hitting & Defense

Coach MacDonald has over 10 years of college coaching experience. She currently serves as the Assistant Athletic Director and Head Softball Coach at Fitchburg State University. Over her past 7 seasons at the helm she has led the Falcons to the top of the conference qualifying for the post season tournament. She was named the 2019 MASCAC Coach of the Year as well as mentoring the 2013 & 2016 MASCAC Rookie of the Years and numerous all-conference players. Prior to Fitchburg State University, she served two years as an assistant coach at Springfield College. MacDonald played at Endicott College where she holds numerous records for the Gulls including the career batting average of .398. Throughout her career she earned the 2010 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Senior-Scholar Athlete of the Year award, the 2009 CCC Player of the Year honor, and three all-conference accolades. Lee Beaulac Softball Pitching
Lee Beaulac formerly known as (Ms. Z) has been pitching the softball since the age of eight and with an accomplished career at Doherty High School in the books. She then went onto Worcester State University where she exceled at her craft for four more years. Lee has been the pitching coach in the Doherty, Leominster and Wachusett High School programs. She has over ten years experience teaching players correct and sustainable form with strength and conditioning as well as the "junk" pitches. Lauren Hatfield Softball Defense/Catching/Hitting
Coach Lauren Hatfield has over 15 years coaching experience at the High School and College level. She was the two-time Division 1 High School State Championship catcher at Leominster High School, where Lauren led her team in batting average, RBI's and home runs, as well as being voted to multiple league and state all-star teams. A dominating offensive and defensive player, Lauren played shortstop and third base at Boston College, and made an immediate impact as a freshman. A team leader in batting average and RBI’s, Lauren was chosen to the ECAC All-star team and helped Boston College earn an NCAA tournament bid and the ECAC Championship. Lauren was one of 2 catchers in the state of Massachusetts chosen to play against the 1996 and 2000 Olympic team during their pre-Olympic tour of the US. She began her professional coaching career as the Assistant Softball and Basketball coach at Franklin Pierce University. After one season as the Softball Assistant, she was named head coach of the program and led her team to a record number of wins in a season; a record that still stands. As the Head Softball Coach at Randolph High School, she led the team to its first and only undefeated season in the history of the school. Winning 97 games in 5 years, that team won multiple league championships and a few trips to the district finals. Lauren is currently the Varsity Coach at Leominster High School. She coaches players of all ages and levels. Her specialties include infield defense and positional play, catching, hitting for contact and power, bunting, drag bunt and slap.
